IPL (Lumecca)
Lumecca is an intense pulsed light (IPL) treatment that is used to treat ageing, pigmentation, rosacea and spider veins (red facial veins).
The light pulses target the pigmentation, which is then either absorbed by the skin or flakes off in the following days after treatment. To ensure optimum results you may be required to have 2-3 treatments.
Whilst treating blood vessels and pigment, there is an additional benefit of stimulating our fibroblast to produces more collagen and elastin, resulting in general rejuvenation. It can treat any area of the body. We have 2 IPL hand pieces, one to treat lighter skins, and one to treat darker skins up to skin type 4. Dark Asian and Afro-Caribbean skin are not suitable for IPL.
Lumecca is one of the most powerful IPL machines available. It treats:
- age spots (red/brown pigmentation)
- Sun damage
- Vascular lesions (spider veins, port wine stains, leg telangectasia)
- Rosacea (redness)
- Freckles
This treatment is performed by our Senior Aestheticians. If you think IPL Lumecca is for you then please book a consultation to discuss your concerns and to receive a patch test which is required prior or treatment.

What a beautiful serene location! The experience was wholly positive from the moment I arrived. Aesthetics is such a personal experience & journey, which Dr Hill & her staff are extremely sensitive to & go out of their way to fully explain the treatments, putting one at ease.
