Microneedling | Solihull

Microneedling is a minimally invasive skin treatment that uses fine, sterile needles to create tiny microchannels in the skin. This process stimulates the body’s natural healing response, boosting collagen and elastin production to improve skin texture and firmness.

It’s an effective treatment for reducing the appearance of fine lines, enlarged pores, acne scars, and uneven skin tone. Over time, the skin becomes smoother, tighter, and more radiant.

Microneedling can be performed on the face, neck, and décolletage, and is suitable for most skin types with minimal downtime. A course of treatments is usually recommended for optimal results.

At Hampton Clinic we use the XCELLARISPRO Twist, an innovative microneedling device with an adjustable penetration depth of 0.25–2.5 mm. It offers a minimally invasive treatment option for improving skin texture and treating scars, wrinkles, stretch marks, and hyperpigmentation. It is a Class IIa medical device that meets the highest European and international standards.

Frequently Asked Questions

With local anaesthetic cream, it is not an unpleasant experience. It feels similar to an electric toothbrush on the skin.

You can look quite red on the day of treatment, and the following day just glowing like a bit of sunburn.

It is best to allow the skin to breathe and allow the little holes to close up before applying make-up. You must wait at least 6 hours, but if you can wait until the following day it is better.

It is better to treat scars and stretch marks soon after they first happen. Whether they follow acne, pregnancy or a rapid growth spurt in a teenager. It is a slow healing process as you boost new collagen through microneedling, but the results are worth persevering for.

It is recommended to not do microneedling more often than every 2 months, as you don’t want to damage the new collagen that is being made.
