Dr Hill is the best in the business and understands there is so much more to anti-ageing than smoothing out lines and wrinkles.

As time goes by, we age on so many levels, from the texture and tone of our skin to sagging muscles and even our bones which underpin our facial structure. From the age of 18, we lose 1% of youthful collagen each year.

Luckily, the world of aesthetic medicine has so much on offer to tackle all the signs of ageing.

Because this happens on so many levels, a combination of treatments is often advised to restore your youthful looks and confidence.

At consultation, Dr Hill will start by asking what your specific concerns are. Often, clients report that they feel they look ‘tired’ and want a lift. Other times, people think they already know which treatment is right for them but may not be aware of the huge range of options available.

Dr Hill will sensitively assess the quality of your skin, facial muscles, and discuss any concerns you raise with her. If you are open to her using her artistic eye, she will happily advise what she thinks would most benefit you, as each client’s needs are different.

First, let’s look at the deepest level of facial ageing – bone resorption. This occurs over time, where bone mass decreases and so the temples deepen, eye sockets become larger and our nose changes shape as we age. Dermal filler may be suggested to soften the effects of bone changes, and restore volume strategically.

The next issue to tackle is muscle sagging. As with the muscles elsewhere in our bodies, the facial muscles lose their tautness and tone, and over time can start to sag, giving us a jowly appearance and a less defined jawline. Ultherapy is an excellent treatment option for this. Harnessed ultrasound energy heats the muscle layer to 68 degrees, lifting and tightening the scaffold of the face, as well as improving collagen and elastin.

Over time, our facial fat can start to thin, and migrate with gravity giving a hollow, tired appearance. Morpheus8 is a powerful treatment which contracts and tightens this subcutaneous fat, to lift and firm the tissues. Dermal fillers can also be used to restore lost volume, and fat dissolving Aqualyx injections can reduce unwanted fat which gathers around the jawline.

At the most shallow layer, as our skin ages we lose collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. This affects the texture of the skin, and can cause lines and wrinkles. We have a wide range of treatment options for this and Dr Hill will explore which are the most appropriate for your individual indications. These treatments include ZO skincare with a prescription strength retinol, Hydrafacial for hydration and skin health, Microneedling /Fractora/Morpheus8 to promote new collagen and elastin at varying depths , Celluma light therapy with its many rejuvenating properties, Profhilo ‘aka the injectable moisturiser’ and tailored skin peels.
